Method and sources
Gold price: London (LBMA) annual average, in US dollars per troy ounce; the current price is from 10 October 2026. Taka–dollar rate: World Bank (official exchange rate, annual average); the current rate is from 12 October 2026.
Pure gold is valued by converting the international price into taka; retail prices in Bangladesh (BAJUS) may differ. 1 bhori = 11.664 grams. Each year’s average price is placed at mid-year and prices for dates in between are interpolated, so results will differ somewhat from the actual price on any given day.
